Ripped in 30: Week 1: Day 4
Booyahhh. Did it this morning, kicked my ass… But I’m glad I did! Went grocery shopping and bought all sorts of fun stuff. Also craft supplies. Updates are short because I want to finish watching THE KILLING. SO ADDICTED.

No time to work out the past 2 days. Worked out this morning, and I feel amaaazing afterwards. Which is great, because I felt like shit before. Blahhh.
I think my body needs a rest. My head is pounding and I am so sore I can barely walk. :C Rest day it is. I’ll probably come home and hoop tonight just so I can say that I did SOMETHING.

2.1 lbs down from yesterday. I KNEW it was just water retention from all the sodium-filled food I ate Sunday night. I started drinking all my water again, and eating much more healthily plus working out. I should get back to where I was pre-spring break pretty easily and start getting even MORE in shape for graduation! :)
Holy shit am I sore.
It was barely 12 hours post-workout that the DOMS set in on me yesterday, hahaha. I was laying in the boyfriend’s bed, not wanting to move because I was so sore, and it was even worse this morning! EVERYTHING HURTS.
AND IT IS THE BEST DAMN FEELING IN THE WORLD.
I don’t think I ever got too sore with the 30 Day Shred, but man I am feelin’ it today after Ripped in 30. The back of my legs, especially… And my back. And my shoulders. And arms. And ass. And abs. Hahaha, I love love love being sore. :)
I think I’m going back home with the boyfriend this weekend so maybe we can take the canoe out again, or take his dogs to this really beautiful nature park and go on a little hike. I’m so excited that I finally get to be active again!
But oh yeah, Day 2! It went really well! I can do all the manly push-ups and everything! I just get really tired by circuit 3. I seriously can’t wait to see how much I improve though. I’m doing almost every with 5lb weights. I’m just a total wuss at the side lunge/arm raises, womp womp. But I’m getting better!

I decided to start Ripped in 30 today because I graduate university one month from tomorrow! (How convenient, right?) All of my family is coming to town and there are sure to be a bazillion pictures taken, so I want to get back into some sort of good habits to look nice for that!
I did Week 1 Day 1 today and I was really surprised at my own fitness level. For not working out for over 3 weeks (despite all of the walking I did in DC and the rowing I did on the canoe over the weekend + various other activities over the weeks), I thought I would have lost most of my muscle but I actually went straight for the 5lb weights this time! I figure I am only going to do it Monday-Friday and then do some light cardio on the weekends (hooping, hiking, canoeing, sexy timez~, etc.) and try to get my diet back on track! I had a lot of fun with this work out! I love doing 3 different strength workouts per circuit than just the 2 in 30 Day Shred. Woo! Can’t wait to post progress pics, ya’ll. :)
Nothing like looking at yourself in a bikini over the weekend to get you back into working out.
Unfortunately, my illness/lethargy has caused me to put some weight back on, but hopefully it’ll come off fast since I put it on pretty fast. I’m ready to get back where I was! I started my new job last week, so the stress of starting that is over and I think I can get back into a routine.
So all of my progress pictures from now on will be in bikinis instead of in underwear/bra, haha. It’ll be easier for me to keep track of them that way, anyways. I am feeling SO MUCH BETTER. I can’t wait to start exercising again! I miss it. :(
Good news. Since I’ve been sick I have lost all the weight I gained over spring break. Unfortunately all I’ve had since Tuesday is 2 pieces of toast, a fruit smoothie and a ton of powerade. Fml.
I woke up yesterday feeling MORE than miserable… Went into work anyway, left early and then had a Dr’s appointment. It turns out I have a sinus infection AND strep throat. No wonder I felt like absolute shit for the past 5 days. Womp womp. No exercising for a week.
Also, I have zero appetite. I feasted on a bottle of gatorade and a slice of toast yesterday. Fuck, I hate being sick.
But at least I have it all figured out and am on antibiotics to make me feel better. I start my grown-up-girl job on Monday and I need to be feeling in tip-top shape!
